Putting a wig on a wig block for washing and styling
It is
very important to always put the wig on a wig block before doing any
thing to it. So I have put together a little step-by-step guide to
guide you through it. |
1.
The things you will need is: A pair of pliers A strip of
Chamonix soft leather and some wig nails |
2.
The first thing you should do is to find a wig block that matches
the head which is going to wear the wig. You have to look at both
size and shape. |
3.
Make sure that the wig fits snugly. |
4.
Using the strip of Chamonix you start nailing down the front lace.
The strip protects the lace from being torn. |
5.
You should fold the ends of the nails down into the wig block so you
won't hurt yourself handling the block. |
6.
Follow the front lace all around to the ears. |
7.
if you don't use a Chamonix accidents might happen and your lace
will be ruined like in this picture. |
8.
Now the front is done and it is time to go back to the neck nail it
down. |
9.
Lift up all the hair and put some clips in to hold it in place. |
10.
Start on both corners of the neck and make sure it's tight. |
11.
Fill in with as many extra nails as you need to keep the neck lace
down | 12.
This is what it should look like when it's done. |
13.
Comb the wig with the brush. it will lose some hair, this is
perfectly normal and won't affect the wig very much. if the wig
overtime loses too much hair it is possible to send it to me and add
more hair again |
14.
Now it's all done, you're ready to move on to washing the wig or
styling it. |
