Yellow fields
Are the only fields you need to fill in. Enter your mould volume in one field only (mm³, m³ or Litres). Adjust overpour % and deadener % as needed.
Deadener %
Deadener % = weight of deadener as a percentage of the combined Part A + Part B weight. 100% means equal weight of deadener to A+B combined. The total of A + B + Deadener fills the mould — the calculator works backwards to find the correct split.
Smith's vs LV
Smith's Deadener is the classic higher-viscosity version. Deadener LV is lower viscosity and easier to mix. For PlatSil Gel-25, roughly half the amount of Deadener LV is needed compared to Smith's Deadener. Both have a density of ~0.97 g/mL.
