2008 Corpses and hair punching

Looking through the years like I am writing this I feel so lucky to have had such good luck to work with so many great people that has pushed me to become better! I want to thank everyone I have worked with for doing that!!
But the real highlight of the year was of course the birth of our daughter Evelyn on 2008-08-08.
"The murder of a former comedian" 2008 Folkteatern Kim Lantz as the comedian in "The murder of a former comedian" 2008 Folkteatern Kim was supposed to spend most of his time being dead laying on stage. Kim has got some problems with his back so it was impossible for him to stay still for that long so I built him a doppelganger in silicone. The following pictures shows a few steps from the making of it. Head, hands and feet are all made out of silicone. I had never before made a full body so it was a fun challenge The skeleton was made out of broom sticks, hinges, plastic tubing among tons of other things. I then built muscles with foam rubber cut into shape. Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz This doll actually caused some problems. An actor decided to pull a practical joke and it went horribly wrong. He placed the doll in the café at work. Then he forgot about it. In the early morning the day after our financial boss comes in and is going to put the kettle on. continued on the next picture. He sees "Kim" sitting dead at a coffee table. He completely freaks out and calls the ambulance. The ambulance arrives and looks at him, saying "He must have been sitting there for a long time" They approach him and touch his arm. First now they realise that it's a puppet and gets really angry. "Is this some kind of f...ing joke???" continued on the next picture.
Luckily after calming down they considered the emergency call to be real since he thought it was a real dead body and we didn't have to pay the false alarm fee. Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz Silicone corpse of Kim Lantz "The murder of a former comedian" 2008 Folkteatern needed a huge fish. We couldn't use a new real fish everyday so I built one in silicone after casting a real one. And Yes, an animal was injured and killed to make this effect. I'm sorry... That is one big alignate mould!
Since I had to re-sculpt it anyway we made it look at bit more theatrical and comedic. 2008-3 Here is the finished fish. It weighed about 5 kg so they could get a good swing with it. Sushi anyone?? 2008-9 2008-10 My son Jack loves this fish. Even when I am writing this 4 years later he still always want to play with it. 2008-12 2008-13
2008-14 The fish in the previous picture was a bit too theatrical for the directors liking so I made new one with a more realistic paint job. Not real for the fish we made a cast of but this was what she wanted. 2008-32 2008-33 And Yes, an animal was injured and killed to make this effect. I'm sorry... A quite heavy theatre silicone makeup on Jonas Sjökvist for the play with the corpse and the fish. The makeup is very strong to be seen in the very dark lightning of the play. Sometimes you need to make things that look a bit too much in person to get the right effects on stage. The corpse of Kim Lantz as it looked on stage. I heard people in the audience who said that they had seen the feet move! Funny since they were casts of my feet and I was sitting next to them!
