My name is Lars Carlsson and I am a special effects makeup artist and wig maker in Gothenburg, Sweden.

I have been working professionally in the entertainment industry since 1989 when I was 19 years old and got my first full time job at a theatre.

My company, Makeup-FX was started in 1990 and today I run it together with my wife Heather.

This website is mainly used to show you our work and to teach our craft since we now have started up a separate web shop for our products.
So for shopping go to  the Makeup-FX-Shop website where we sell wigs, moustaches, beards, punch needles, texture tools, airbrushing tools, wigmaking tools, blood, tattoo transfers, moulds, prosthetics and plenty of other fun stuff.

And of course there are lots of free tutorials for you to watch! 

We do all kinds of makeup effects for film, TV, theatre, advertising, fashion, events, seminars and teaching.
About ten years ago we also branched out and started doing anatomical models for the medical industry.
